Motorcycle category up to 35 kW power
What is Category A2?
A two-wheeled motorcycle without a sidecar with a cylinder capacity of at least 245 cm3, an engine power of at least 20 kW but not more than 35 kW, and a power-to-weight ratio not exceeding 0.2 kW/kg. If the motorcycle is equipped with an electric motor, the motor’s power is at least 20 kW but not more than 35 kW, and the motorcycle’s power-to-weight ratio is at least 0.15 kW/kg.
Which vehicles are you allowed to ride?
Motorcycles whose power does not exceed 35 kW and whose power-to-weight ratio does not exceed 0.2 kW/kg, and which have not been derived from a vehicle with more than twice their power.
Application requirements
- Valid identity card and address card.
- At least primary school education.
- Valid medical fitness certificate (not required if you already hold a valid driving licence whose validity is subject to medical fitness).
- Minimum age: 17 years6 months.

Theoretical course: 22 lessons
Practical lessons: 6 + 10 lessons + 1 hour traffic exam, required min 240 km
