Category B
We don't just prepare you for the exam - we prepare you for confident and safe driving.
What is category B?
In short: Passenger car.
This includes a vehicle whose maximum authorized mass does not exceed 3,500 kg and which is designed and constructed to carry no more than eight passengers in addition to the driver, as well as a vehicle combination consisting of such a motor vehicle and a trailer attached to it that meets the requirements laid down in the applicable legislation.
Application requirements
- Valid identity document and address card
- At least primary school education
- Valid medical certificate (not required if you already hold a valid driving licence that is subject to medical certificate)
- Minimum age: 16 years and 6 months
Obligatory hours
Theory: 28 lessons or e-learning course
Practice: 29 hours + 1 exam, and 580 km
Selectable vehicle types
Automatic gear: Toyota Prius Hybrid, Kia E-Niro
Manual gear: Honda Jazz, Suzuki Swift, Skoda Octavia, Peugeot 206
Optional exam locations
Flower market at Budaörs: 1112 Budapest, Budaörsi street 172-178.
Vas Gereben street: 1195 Budapest, Vas Gereben street 2-4.
Mozaik street: 1033 Budapest, Mozaik street 5.
Price of a category B driving license

The prices above are valid for weekdays during workhours (8-17h).
Additional price on weekdays outside workhours and on weekends and holidays: + 20 Ft / minute
The lesson count stated above (29+1) is the legally required minimum. However, in most cases this is far from enough for learners to acquire the skill level and confidence needed for safe driving. If after the exam you feel you need more practice, we offer that option as well.
