State support
The state provides financial support to learners who passed the, the theoretical exam required to obtain a category “B” driving licence after 1 July 2018, and who on the day of the exam either
- had not yet reached the age of 20, or
- had already turned 20 but on the day of the exam were receiving infant care allowance, childcare allowance, or a childcare support benefit,
provided that they have not previously claimed this support.
The amount of the support equals the actual paid sum of the theoretical course fee and the successful traffic-theory (KRESZ) exam fee, but not more than HUF 25,000.
The certificate required to claim this support must be requested from the driving school by e‑mail or by phone after passing the theoretical exam. We will send this certificate to the student’s e‑mail address provided at registration, or hand it over in person during office hours.
The deadline to submit a claim is within one year from the date of the successful KRESZ exam.
Applications to the state can be made in person, by post, or electronically - the latter option is available if the applicant has an Ügyfélkapu account.
