Find out what makes motorcycle training different at Future Driving School

Theoretical instruction

We consider it important to already lay the foundations for practical training during the theoretical course! Read the detailed description of the theoretical instruction here.

Details of practical instruction - why learn to ride with us

The closed-circuit training (basic training) prepares you for riding in road traffic. You will learn the basics, starting with pushing the motorcycle, then mastering the correct body position and line of sight, as well as the precise use of the controls (throttle, front brake, rear brake, clutch).

Practical exercises then progress to more applied tasks, such as cornering in tight spaces, dynamic changes of cornering line, slow-speed riding, direction changes with momentum, and emergency braking.

Each exercise is discussed in detail with the instructor, who demonstrates the task and then supervises the practice, providing continuous feedback.

Basic training concludes with a vehicle-handling exam.

During the traffic lessons (main training) you will practise the specific aspects of motorcycle traffic — for example lane positioning, lateral clearance, and learning about the “motorcyclist invisibility” phenomenon.

How on-road training is carried out:

  • Car-led escort: instruction is conducted with a lead car and radio communication.
  • Motorcycle-led escort: the instructor rides a motorcycle and leads the students in traffic, demonstrating correct and safe motorcycling behaviour.

After thorough preparation and once you have the required skills, you may register for the traffic exam.

Mandatory motorcycle gear

  • protective gloves,
  • high-top (ankle-protecting), closed shoes made of strong material,
  • helmet (plexi),
  • spine protector,
  • elbow and knee protectors,
  • long-sleeved clothing (you cannot ride a motorcycle with exposed skin!).

It is best to obtain protective equipment before the first practical lesson, as these are essential parts of motorcycling. If necessary, we can provide a helmet, protective shirt and knee pads in the very first lesson.

Driving training

Practicing motorcycling does not end with the traffic test, as it is a skill that needs to be continuously developed. At the various driving training sessions, you can practice individual tasks, polish your technique, or warm up for the season while feeling good on the motorcycle.

We highly recommend the Red Ride training, where you can improve on the Érd track, under the guidance of our instructor Tamás Koczóh! For more details, click on the link below: https://redride.hu/

Guidance for the categories

AM

The first step to independent motorized transportation. If you are interested in driving in traffic from a young age and are not afraid of the great responsibility that comes with it, choose the AM category. With us you can learn on an automatic transmission vehicle, so your license will be limited to this.

A1

The 125 cm3 scooter/motorcycle is the entry category into the world of motorcycles. It makes city transportation easier: no more parking fees and traffic jams. If that is what you want, we recommend the A1 category.

A1(B)

We recommend it to motorcyclists who already have experience driving a scooter/motorcycle. We recommend the A1 category for those without experience, because you will need a higher number of hours during practice.

A2

The world of mid-range motorcycles, which is the entrance to the big motorcycles. In addition to city driving, it can also take you on smaller tours, so if you would like to ride a motorbike for longer, choose category A2.

A

With a driving license validated for category “A”, you are entitled to drive any motorcycle. During the practice, we gradually build up the hours, so you don’t start driving a big motorbike right away.
