Things to know about the training

Overtaking is one of the most dangerous and hardest-to-teach maneuvers, so it’s worth practising in controlled conditions. Few driving schools offer this kind of focused training, so be sure to take advantage of the opportunity!

How the day is structured

We run this on a weekend because it’s just a half‑day commitment.

The session starts with a one‑hour theory class where we refresh the rules - when to overtake and when not to, risk management, hazard recognition, and more.

Then we get into the cars: several instructor vehicles take part, and each car carries multiple learners so you can practice overtaking many times in a short, safe period. The instructor cars even overtake one another - while you practice the manoeuvre, the other students watch and learn.

We break for a shared lunch where you can relax and swap experiences with the group. On the drive home we continue practising overtaking to consolidate what you learned.

Training fee



No extra fee: pay the regular lesson rate only, and only after you’ve driven.
